A lamp - far and wide

An oil lamp at the bedside
Travelled far and wide

Wall lamps hung in China rooms
To keep away the gloom and doom

Grandmother's pelita
lit up her framed visage

Shakespeare's lamp gave sonnets
Inspiring future poets

Temple lamps at Divali
Celebrating Rama's victory

Ancient lamps stilled fears of the dark
Ceremonial at civilisation's growing spark

Genie lamps - made of dreams
Sheharazade's insightful whims

  8. What a cool magpie! If an image is worth a thousand words... then your Mag has 7,000 words!

  9. Yes, a thousand times yes.
    I am into collecting pictorial
    images strung into a post
over at my site. I love this
    response to the magpie challenge,
Nino, for there are no parameters
other than art itself, or your
    imagination. My latest pictorial
    was on covered bridges.
You might like to take a peek
