The afternoon sun
Warms up my fingers
Like little kisses planted
On beach pebbles
On beach pebbles
Memories of waves
Throughout the night
Never really fade
Now, the morning chill
Throughout the night
Never really fade
Now, the morning chill
Is completely replaced
By tingling anticipation,
Unbearable.

ReplyDeletemuch love...
Wow, the sun like little kisses on pebbled fingers, and then that word unbearable - wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteIntense emotion implied between the lines...
ReplyDeleteNice work!

ReplyDeleteNinot Ma'am,
ReplyDeleteUnbearable! How it conjures that feel of excitement! Great!
Hank

Oh this makes me crave the beach...
ReplyDeletePerfect conclusion.
ReplyDeleteOh, wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThe scene has some similarity to where we are. It is so hot without a drop of rain for over one month that the 'tingling anticipation' is of different kind
ReplyDeleteThe imagery evokes the true emotion and beauty here....a lovely write Ninot!
ReplyDeleteIt kind of evokes pain, but the poem is marvelous.
