Waves of summer
crashing, hitting, arriving
against the wide beach
at the edge
of the season, how
insignificant we are
powerful winds
like a tiger, roar
in the cloaked balmy night
to be so close
to the edge of time and matter
where it does not matter
Every sunrise. Enlightened.

love that sense of insignificance in the face of nature...that is part of the awe...and perhaps there is wisdom in that too...
ReplyDeleteWe hope to be awakened to the fact that the earth has its own wisdom, Brian. And work with nature to heal itself.
DeleteCheers!

ReplyDeleteNamaste, friend.
DeleteBeautiful descriptive scene! But I especially love the last two thoughtful lines!
ReplyDeleteThanks Gemma! I haven't seen you for a while. Thanks again. How is your corner of the world?
DeleteI very much like that little glimpse into eternity you offer with the phrase: "at the edge of the season"
