Each with its economic crisis
That's what they call it
But how can we face our family
And say we do not have anymore
Left to eat
Nor place to live?

I am just feeling melancholy today. Didn't mean to drag anyone down...
Ninot Ma'am,
ReplyDeleteYou have every right to feel that way. Many are concerned with so many countries on the brink, Ireland,Greece,Italy,Spain and now the USA (re-rated AA+ from AAA). Though their troubles are not of the same level of seriousness, but taken together it would cause a great headache. Who says the subprime woes had gone? The gloom would reach our shores by and by. Sadly the ripples are progressing slowly. Unless the US economy can make a breakaway from all these with a U-turn of some sort and spare all others.
a very hard conversation indeed...have unfortunately been there...when i lost my job a couple years back hard times...nice simplecaptureof that...
ReplyDeleteSo sad this is... and good question... Who can answer to that?
ReplyDeleteA reality of far too many, everywhere. Good write, Nino!
ReplyDeletePowerful... a sad reality of today. Better to get it out than to let it fester inside. = )
ReplyDeleteIt is just another challenge to face.
ReplyDeleteas you so wisely say;
"Centuries come and go
Each with its economic crisis".
But this one will test our ability to cooperate to save the interdependent global society we have created.
As real as it gets.
ReplyDeleteThat has been a problem throughout the ages.
ReplyDeleteDear friends, it seems that Google has eaten my own comment! Mama Zen is so right. This is about as real as it gets. I feel for people around the world affected by the current affairs and yes, just like what Kaykuala and Stafford say, this is global and sooner or later will affect everyone, one way or the other.
ReplyDeleteI pray it doesn't escalate into an uglier scenario, with all my heart.
May be a downer ... but beautifully composed!
ReplyDeleteDear Helen,
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely thing to say. Thank you.
