I stand here, before a door - my hand on the handle questioning still, why am I here, what lies ahead of me, the gateway to my past or future beckons silently. "Unlock the portal, be free!
Am I to step out
This chilly morn of greyness
Or stay put - be still
There is a silence in the hallway, the guardians of timeless prisons hold the key, both to the reason and means for this imprisonment of mind and soul, the lost ones - we are neither aware nor do we care
Frozen inertia
My heart is the lock I hold
To my own doomed cell
And yet, this morning, at dawn break, oh! how glorious
Even though in my mind only, the sun rises above an imagined horizon
And I realise it is my first ever notion of time ?
I awaken with realisation of self, my toes, my nails
I sing aloud
Hitherto quiet, I can't hide
This bursting joy inside
In a moment of utter abandon, the ceiling cracks, the doors fling open wide to let in the river of awareness rushing, gushing, spilling over the floors of cold marble -warm, pulsing, swishing at my feet, and I dive
Into its embracing life
I am born !
And I swim towards the light
I gasp for air - I cry.
I unlock the gates of heaven and fall into the arms of a mortal - roar in triumph, oh joyous celebration.
I am home.

I just sit upon a writing desk, and write. And then, I tell stories. Legends of long ago.
Mask
We hide, we run, we turn away
from the sun, warmth fades
into the twilight and the masquerade
comes alive
In the summer day
we slowly wait for sunset
and the mask comes on
Suddenly, revelry and laughter
fills the air, who goes there
but another couple holding hands
excitement, passion
comes alive
A touch, a kiss
behind masked eyes, delight more
than senses can bear
But the clock strikes twelve
the masquerade ends and the thrill
ends too and they are trapped
in a room, reluctant lovers
once the mask comes off...

Devastation
Yelping dog, quiet!
I am rolling over the plains
of devastation
Hatchlings surrender
to the void that empties
the mind
Oh, when will they learn ?
It's too late, anyway.

At the seashore
Waves of summer
crashing, hitting, arriving
against the wide beach
at the edge
of the season, how
insignificant we are
powerful winds
like a tiger, roar
in the cloaked balmy night
to be so close
to the edge of time and matter
where it does not matter
Every sunrise. Enlightened.

Wings
When life throws you a bitter pill, it is best to remember - it is for our own good.
I am ready to leave everything behind
Take a leap of faith
And seek my destiny, build my own nest
I require little wings of encouragement, a little humble pie to swallow - a huge dose of commonsense.
I need to take charge
And charter my own path
Not according to the whims and fancies
Others will tell me, it is a dangerous world out there. Find your wings. Take it slow.
I shall find my wings to sail through
With prayers that enlighten and strengthen
My purpose and devotion
Here is my hand, held out. Please lead the way.
